Urgent warning from Washington/ Embassy urges citizens in Iraq to leave the country immediately

The United States has asked its citizens to leave several Middle Eastern countries as tensions in the region continue to rise.

In an official warning, the US embassy called on American citizens in Iraq to leave the country immediately.

"US citizens who choose to remain in Iraq are strongly encouraged to reconsider their decision in light of the significant threat posed by Iran-linked terrorist militia groups," the embassy statement said.

The warning comes at a time when Iran has launched attacks on American targets in several countries in the region.

According to reports, the US has asked its citizens to leave many countries in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, US authorities have also ordered non-emergency government employees and their family members to leave Oman.
