The passenger tries to open the plane door, the staff is forced to tie her to the seat

A passenger who was traveling with the American Airlines plane was tied to the seat of the plane with adhesive tape after she tried to open the door of the plane during the flight.
She was sued by the Federal Aviation Administration, as she failed to pay the fine provided by law, Telegrafi reports.
It's about Heather Wells, 34, who was on board and traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Charlotte in July 2021 when she tried to open the plane's door and was violent towards the crew and other passengers.
Now she's facing penalties after failing to pay the $81,950 fine she was given in 2022.
Attorney Jaime Esparza has filed a complaint in San Antonio District Court regarding Federal Aviation's request for the hefty fine.
Wells had apparently fallen, and when other passengers offered to help her, she began threatening and physically assaulting them – including the flight attendants.
To bring the situation under control, they had to tie her to the seat with duct tape and as soon as they landed at the airport she was arrested by the police who had been informed about her attempt to open the plane door during the flight.
