"Cyber attacks against Moscow are planned", Russian Foreign Ministry: NATO has built bases in neighboring countries
NATO has started work on strengthening and building structures for cyber attacks against Russia, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, claimed.
" NATO's military and political leadership continues to build its military capabilities with an eye on the Russian information space to prepare and conduct cyber attacks. The US and its allies are using a network of centers located along the perimeter of our country's borders, in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, and controlled by the American NSA ," she said at a press conference.
" In the future, they want to engage Moldova, and unfortunately, Georgia, where cyber laboratories are being created and will be created to provide operational and technical support to groups and personnel of the bloc's cyber command or special operation forces" , said the Russian official.
According to the diplomat, these centers are used to monitor and collect data, to work out scenarios for carrying out information technology attacks against critical objects of Russia's information infrastructure.
