Politico: Elon Musk to resign as head of Doge in the coming weeks! What Donald Trump told his aides is revealed

US President Donald Trump has told people in his inner circle that Elon Musk will soon resign from his position in the US government, Politico wrote today.
According to the report, Musk will resign in the coming weeks as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), which was formed with the aim of drastically cutting government spending.
According to the same report, the Republican president remains pleased with Musk and Doge's initiative, but they have jointly decided in recent days that the time will soon come for Musk to return to his businesses and take a supporting role, according to three people close to Trump, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Tesla has been experiencing a "slump" in sales recently and Musk is looking to find ways to revive it.
Musk's withdrawal comes as some insiders and many outside allies of the Trump administration have become frustrated with his unpredictable behavior and increasingly see the billionaire as a political liability, a dynamic that was on full display Tuesday when a conservative judge Musk had strongly supported losing his nomination for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court by a 10-point margin.
It also represents a sharp shift in the Trump-Musk relationship from a month ago, when White House officials and allies predicted that Musk was "here to stay" and that the US president would find a way to overcome the 130-day deadline.
A senior administration official said Musk would maintain an informal advisory role and continue to be an occasional face around the White House. Another warned that anyone who thinks Musk will disappear from Trump's orbit entirely is "deceiving themselves."
