Rubio warns Russia: A few more weeks and we will change our approach towards you

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that the United States will determine within weeks whether Russia is truly interested in negotiating peace with Ukraine.
"We will know in weeks, not months, whether Russia is serious about peace," he said during a press conference, stressing that time for diplomatic progress is running out.
The Secretary of State warned that if Moscow is using negotiations only as a tactic to buy time, the administration of President Donald Trump will have to reconsider its approach.
"If this is simply a delaying tactic by Russia, President Trump is not interested," the top US diplomat said, hinting that Washington will not tolerate prolonged uncertainty in the conflict.
Rubio also added that, if Russia does not show sincere commitment to peace talks, the United States will have to "reconsider our position" on the issue.
However, he did not provide details on specific measures that could be taken.
The statements come amid international efforts to ease tensions and find a solution to the crisis. The Kremlin has yet to officially react to Rubio's comments.
Otherwise, Russia began its invasion of the Ukrainian state on February 24, 2022.
