Starmer expresses concern over Putin's participation in Trump's "Peace Council": He is waging war against a European country

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer today expressed his concern regarding the possible participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the "Peace Council" created by US President Donald Trump.

On Wednesday, Trump stated that Putin had accepted the invitation, but later the Kremlin leader said he would consider it before giving a final response.

"Obviously I'm concerned about Putin's presence at a Peace Council," Starmer said in an interview with Channel 4 News.

" He is waging war against a European country. Bombs are falling relentlessly on Ukraine," he said, adding that " we must not let the events of last week distract us."
