US President Donald Trump said that Iran has agreed not to acquire nuclear weapons and that the negotiated agreement "extends for 20 years."
Trump also stated that the prospects for a deal "look very positive," adding that the next meeting with the Iranian delegation could take place over the weekend.
Referring to developments in the Persian Gulf and the plan to block the Strait of Hormuz, Trump expressed optimism about finding a diplomatic solution.
"The markets are doing well, oil prices are doing well, I believe we will make a good deal with Tehran without nuclear weapons," he noted.
The next meeting on Iran could take place this weekend, the US president also noted, adding that there may not be a need to extend the ceasefire with Iran.
