Journalist Xhevahir Zhabina, speaking about SPAK's action against Jetmir Pepa's group, which is suspected of trafficking dozens of tons of cocaine to Western European countries, stated that they were bringing over 500 kilograms of cocaine via one route from Latin America.
"At the time of the trafficking, this group was moving considerable quantities, no less than 500 kg of cocaine to European ports. It is believed that they have trafficked hundreds of tons. The prosecution has only identified 7.5 tons of cocaine, but there are also several dozen tons that have been smuggled to European countries."
"What is impressive is that we have 60 real estate properties such as apartments, land, parking lots, in cities like Lezhë, Shëngjin, Himarë, that is, in places with high construction intensity where this group had assets. There are also 89 seized cars, which are work vehicles of companies that carry out public works, as well as 72 bank accounts totaling 12 million euros," said Zhabina.
