Trump insists: Iran's uranium will be transferred to the US

The transfer of Iran's enriched uranium to the United States is one of the main conditions for reaching a peace agreement.

This was stated by US President Donald Trump in a telephone conversation with PBS News, where he confirmed that the nuclear material will be channeled to American territory, while in return Iran will commit to dismantling its underground nuclear facilities over a long period of time, as a sign of goodwill.

Washington appears close to reaching an agreement, which could be finalized before Trump's trip to China next week.

The US president stressed that negotiations are progressing, but warned that if Iran withdraws from its commitments, the US is ready to immediately return to strong military strikes.

This diplomatic and military pressure is also accompanied by a temporary "freezing" of the mission to escort merchant ships through the Strait of Hormuz, an action that is interpreted as a signal of progress in the negotiations.
