Vucic: I will not run for president again

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he has no intention of changing the Constitution to run for president again, emphasizing that his term in office will end in a year and a half.
"I am a political veteran and I cannot run for president again, and it would not even occur to me to change the Constitution to do so. I am not a dictator, as I am usually portrayed in the Austrian media. I will end my career as president in a year and a half," Vučić said at a joint press conference with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker in Belgrade.
Vučić announced that elections in Serbia will be announced ahead of schedule, but did not give an exact date, emphasizing that this is within the competence of state institutions, writes N1 .
"I will help someone and I will fight for those who I think can move Serbia forward to succeed in the elections - I will definitely do that. From what positions, this is not a topic right now, and I cannot even say," he declared.
The Serbian president stressed that the elections “will show what the people think,” adding that protests and demonstrations are legitimate forms of expressing dissatisfaction, as long as they are not violent.
