Another 930 thousand euros for the Burrel ring road, which collapsed as soon as it was built

The budget will pay another 930 thousand euros to repair the collapsed Burreli ring road, a typical case of irresponsibility with public tenders in Albania. The Burreli ring road, a segment only 960 meters long, was built in 2005 by the Ulza company for a price of 1.3 million euros.
But just a month after the completion of the works, the ring road collapsed, completely rendering it inoperable. After the collapse, the Road Authority declared that it would conduct an in-depth examination to find a solution.
Now the solution has arrived and will cost taxpayers another 930 thousand euros, bringing the total cost of the 960-meter-long road to over 2.2 million euros.
In the tender for the repair of the Ring Road, the ARRSH has announced the winner as the 2N company, which offered a price of 87 million lek out of the 90.3 million lek that was the limit fund.
