Do Albanians believe that the oil in Shpirag will affect the country's economy?

The discovery of almost a decade of oil in Shpirag reached its peak, when the country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku appeared at a press conference to communicate that so far the results are good and the final answer is expected in January 2024 at the latest if Shell will decide to continue the activity in Albania.
But what will be the economic benefits of our country from the discovery of oil in Shpirag?

46.1% of citizens are skeptical if the oil discovered in Shpirag will have an impact on the country's economy, compared to 41.73% who truly believe that this natural resource will bring a boost to the country's development. Meanwhile, 11.95% hope for such a thing.

The most important element of this discovery, which according to the prime minister has the quality of the oil extracted in Saudi Arabia, is the creation of the sovereign fund, which is thought to exceed 500 million euros per year.
A part of the income of this fund is expected to go to increase pensions, for investments in education or health, while a part will be used to invest in markets inside and outside the country to further increase the portfolio of the Sovereign Fund.
