Get ready for 40 °C/ Forecasters: Here's how long the heat wave will last

Climate change has made the expression "August and Gun" no longer applicable in Albania. This is because, starting this weekend, our country will be hit by another African heat wave with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in the shade.
"Air temperatures will continue to gradually increase as a result of this heat wave, making the weekend the one that will have the highest temperatures this week, meaning that in the two counties of Elbasan and Berat temperatures are expected to be at 40 degrees measured in the shade." - Hakil Osmani told Tv Klan
The heat wave will also affect other municipalities, including Tirana.
"Also, the capital, Shkodra, Gjirokastra will have high temperatures, also at 39 degrees. The lowlands will also fluctuate between 36-38 degrees."
This heat wave will continue until the middle of next week.
"This heat wave will continue beyond next week, with maximums reaching 39-40 degrees in isolated areas. High temperatures will last for up to 7 days."
According to weather forecasters, the month of August is marking temperatures 6 degrees above normal, causing the country to be engulfed by days of heat.
