The government gives another "pearl" of the coast in the South, for only 1 euro!
The Council of Ministers approved on Wednesday the leasing of 9,000 square meters of land on the coast of Drimadha for the symbolic fee of 1 Euro in favor of the company "ËHITE ROADS HOTEL", owned by businessman Lorenc Gjikuria.
This company has received the "strategic investor" status from the Strategic Investments Committee headed by Prime Minister Edi Rama for the construction of a hotel and 150 villas in the village of Gjileke in the Municipality of Himara.
The decision on "granting approval for the conclusion of the lease contract with a fee of 1 (one) euro/contract, between the Ministry of Finance and Economy as lessor and the company "ËHITE ROADS HOTEL", sh.pk, as lessee..." provides for a land " land" with a total area of 9,157.2 m2.
Earlier on July 29, the Council of Ministers transferred this land through a VKM to the real estate fund for the support of Strategic Investments under the administration responsibility of the Ministry of Finance, paving the way for its transfer to the strategic investor.
This is not the first time that the "Rama" government rents out 1 euro or sells public land at a price many times lower than the market.
In July, the government decided to sell a land area of almost 9 thousand square meters to the company 'Green Coast' shpk, applying a sales price many times lower than the market, equal to 2135 lek [18.2 euros] per square meter .
In November 2021, the Council of Ministers sold 2137 square meters of land near the Former Guard of the Republic in Tirana to the "Building Construction" company, owned by citizen Ilir Merja, at a price of 66.9 thousand lek per square meter, as a function of a private construction that the company was doing in this area.
Whereas in April 2021, the "Rama" government privatized at a price of almost 1,000 lek per meter, 55,000 square meters of land in Hamallaj, Durrës, in order to build the tourist village "Lalzi Marina" by the "Sviluppo Mare 1" companies ” and “S&D INVEST” owned by businessmen Redi Peza and Gentjan Sula.
These controversial contracts are based on a Normative Act of the "Berisha" government of 2008 "On the privatization and granting to commercial companies and state institutions of special enterprises or facilities..." as well as a decision of the "Rama" government of 2019, " For determining the criteria and conditions for the transfer of state property to private property, in function of general local plans"./ BIRN
