Tirana-Ndroq-Plepa/ In the next two years, 13 road axes will be built and there

From Tirana-Ndroq-Plepa to the ancient caravan route Vlorë-Berat-Voskopojë-Korçë, together with the rehabilitation of the axis Fier-Kthesa e Patosit-Fratar and the expansion of the segment "Milot-Rrëshen on the Nation's Road".

These are some of the infrastructure projects that are expected to come to life in the next two years. With a value that exceeds the sum of 500 million euros, other infrastructural works that are expected to be financed include the expansion of the Tirana-Durrës highway, the construction of the Gjirokastra Bypass in the Adriatic-Ionian corridor or the Gjirokastër-Kakavijë axis.

By the end of 2027, work is expected to start on the Mamaliaj-Ura e Subashi axis; Bushtricë-Pocem-Memaliaj Customs Point; Muriqan-Balldren, Elbasan-Lekaj and Saranda Bypass. After guaranteeing financing, the construction of the railway lines Durrës-Prishtina, Rrogozhinë-Pogradec and Vorë-Hani i Hoti was expected to start in the next two years. In the latter, the completion of electrification is also expected. Work on the construction of the Berat-Ballaban road is expected to start within this year.

The road axis with a length of 58 kilometers that connects the district of Berat with that of Gjirokastra is expected to cost over 4.1 billion ALL. For the first lot of works, a little more than 1.9 billion ALL have been made available, while for the second, almost 2.3 billion ALL. The road axes, the works for the construction of which are planned to last over two years, serve both Albanian citizens and foreign tourists. / TPZ
