Have we turned into a society of political-social masochism?!

A phenomenon is occurring in Albania that renowned researchers of societies gripped by political idolatry call "political-social masochism."
This type of masochism refers to the tendency of a society, group, or party to unconsciously and often "meaninglessly" tolerate, accept, or even encourage suffering, failures, or injustices inflicted on it by itself or its leaders.
This happens when a society continues to support or can no longer oppose a regime, government, or leader who is clearly harming their economic interests and freedoms. When a people continue to vote for the same parties, the same leaders, even though they know that they have consistently failed and have only enriched themselves greatly with the power they have been given.
The group accepts as "normal" an unjust social system, a high level of corruption, a low standard of living, showing a lack of will for change and resistance. When faced with failure, society falls into a collective blame game, instead of seeking responsibility from institutions or those in power.
In the distant years of the communists coming to power in Albania, the society at that time did not like communism and communists, but they were imposed by force and in the end this same oppressed society, without any kind of individual freedom and impoverished to the extreme, surprisingly "fell in love with its rapist" to the point of absurdity that when their chief rapist, the dictator Hoxha, died, over 90% of the raped society mourned him in chorus!
The same thing happened with the new communists, who embraced democracy and pluralism in the 1990s.
They came imposing themselves on society, then seized the parties, the economy, the executive, legislative, judicial and media powers and raped it for 3 decades, continuing today. They plunged it into "capitalist" poverty while waving the flag as anti-communist, but again in the end, a part of society "fell in love" with the new rapists!
It seems like a fatalistic statement, but why do I think that?
After 50 years of coexistence with "communist" abusers and after 34 years with the new "democratic and socialist" abusers, is it all the fault of society that "falls in love" with them, or is it only the fault of the abuser who first forces and imposes it and then manipulates it to the point that society "loves" and accepts them forever?
Ten years ago, with the Justice Reform, internationals decided to intervene to free Albanian society from the dependence of their abusers. But what happens when the justice package brought by the West to save society from abusers starts working?
After the perpetrators begin to be prosecuted by SPAK-GJKKO, (perhaps the only island where they are being fought), a significant portion of society, "surprisingly", does not support those who fight their perpetrators, but their own perpetrator!
In all cases, on the left and right of the political arena, the same exact situation occurs: Arben Ahmetaj - they are attacking him politically; Veliaj - politically; Berisha - politically; Meta - politically; Balluk, most recently - politically...etc., etc.
The refrain is the same even though they know it in their own skin and admit it, that they have been raped and robbed to the core by this political class that replaced communism in the name of democracy, but which betrayed Albanians in the name of its own enrichment.
However, I still believe in those few people, (There are more than they seem), who are not influenced by the rampant propaganda of these violators of society, who do not give in. Who do everything to raise awareness in society, support SPAK&GJKKO, so that the predators of Albanians are not only removed from Albania, but also punished.
The people are never at fault!
Those who should and can direct it in the right direction, but do the opposite, are at fault and are committing a crime...
PS: Even the rapist Rama, whenever it's his turn, will say, "They're hitting me politically!"
