Kryemadhi, as Balluk's spokesperson, attacks the man who reported her to SPAK

There is a moment in Albanian politics where everything is turned upside down with a skill that only hypocrisy can produce: when a person under investigation by SPAK is praised, while the one who had the courage to denounce him is anathematized. Today, Monika Kryemadhi became the most zealous spokesperson for this absurdity.
In a television studio, on News24, she found the moment to praise Belinda Balluku, the deputy prime minister who is being investigated for one of the most serious public corruption cases in the last decade. A "bob" woman, according to Kryemadhi.
But what happens next? In the same breath, she turns the attack on Lulzim Basha. the man who, according to SPAK documents, filed the report on the Llogara tunnel, which led to the investigation against Balluku. In fact, Kryemadhi is right to demand that Basha's wealth be investigated, but he forgets that he was the man who requested Vetting for politicians to investigate their wealth, which parliament rejected as we started. Therefore, Kryemadhi's statement is simply another smokescreen to distract public opinion from the truth.
This scene is an inverted definition of Albanian political morality: where courage is punished and servility is rewarded. Instead of a politician appreciating the fact that a serious corruption case is being investigated, she decides to defend the accused and attack the accuser. It is not simply a lack of coherence, it is the embrace of the culture of impunity, of what has given power to the strong and silence to the weak for thirty years.
Kryemadhi, who once positioned himself as a strong opposition to the system, today seems to have completely abandoned that role. It is as if, after political failures and new calculations for survival, she has decided to become part of the orchestra that defends power through relativism: “Everyone is the same”, “everyone has made mistakes”, “don’t judge”. A chorus that we have heard many times – and that has always served as a shield for the corrupt.
In fact, it is not Balluku who needs Kryemadhi’s advocacy. It is the system that needs such figures to delegitimize politics as a whole. What is more useful for a government accused of corruption than to have a “former oppositionist” publicly defend it?
In this way, Kryemadhi serves neither the left nor the right, but only the status quo that keeps the country in the same vicious circle.
In the end, there remains a contrast that speaks for itself: a woman who is being investigated for millions of euros is praised in a television studio, while a politician who has filed a legal complaint is labeled as “disloyal”.
In this upside-down Albania, it seems that the only thing that no longer has value is the truth.
