"We're tired of you!"/ The shocking conversations between Arlinda

Although it has been four days since the gruesome murder of Arlinda Zekaj, the 49-year-old woman in Peja who was killed with an axe by her brother-in-law Albert Sylaj, other shocking details have come to light due to the negligence of state institutions towards the victim.

An audio recording recently published by Kosovar media reveals how Police Officer Faruk Muçolli ignored Arlinda's requests for a protection order and to discover her son's health condition.

Through a communication between them where Arlinda appears demanding justice for her son's serious health condition, the officer passes the responsibility to others, saying that he has no way to act since he has not yet received a written request from the 49-year-old.

As Arlinda insists on getting a protection order to take care of her minor son, Officer Faruku tells her that he is under no obligation to deal with him.

"Every time the inspectorate calls me, I tell him to file a written complaint. I told you that day, too, that I am not obligated to deal with you because I have obligations. Every time you come to beg for Faruki, Faruki comes out. I am not obligated, believe me, I am not." , the officer tells Arlinda.

Excerpt from the conversation between Arlinda and the police officer:

Arlinda Zekaj:  I'm interested, when I saw my son's mental health was destroyed, you didn't do anything.

Faruk Muçolli:  How many times did you go to the Inspectorate about this situation?

Arlinda Zekaj:  A million times over. And I sleep there.

Faruk Muçolli:  Have you filed a claim against us? Have you?

Arlinda Zekaj:  I don't know, no, I don't know.

Faruk Muçolli:  Don't you know? Every time the inspectorate calls me, I tell them to file a written complaint. I told you that day too, I'm not obligated to deal with you because I have obligations, every time you come to beg for Faruk, Faruk comes out. I'm not obligated, believe me, I'm not.

Arlinda Zekaj : Faruk, I'm tired, I have to implement the ruling, it's that simple.

As we reported yesterday, after two days of searching for the murder of his sister-in-law Arlinda Zekaj, the perpetrator Albert Sylaj has been arrested. Just eight hours after the Zekaj family said their final goodbyes to their daughter last night, the perpetrator of the serious crime was arrested despite his resistance to surrendering.
