The holiday of sacrifice and love, the Muslim Community congratulates believers on Eid al-Adha

On Wednesday, believers around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, a day of sacrifice, obedience to God, solidarity and love for one another. The Head of the Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, congratulated Albanians on this holiday, one of the most important in the Islamic faith, and said that these, more than ever, are times of reflection.
"On the eve of the great holiday of Kurban Bayram, I have the pleasure and honor, on my personal behalf and on behalf of the Muslim Community of Albania, to convey my warmest wishes for peace, goodness, prosperity and harmony in your families," he said in his message to the believers.
"Eid al-Adha is one of the most important holidays of the Islamic faith. It is a holiday of sacrifice, obedience to God, solidarity and love for humanity. It reminds us of the example of the prophet Ibrahim (as), who with complete devotion showed faith, patience and devotion to the Creator. This message remains today a powerful call to strengthen morality, responsibility and humanity in our daily lives."
"In these blessed days, thousands of believers from all over the world are in the holy lands of Mecca to perform the Hajj, one of the fundamental pillars of Islam. The Hajj is a symbol of unity, equality and devotion to God. Believers of different languages, cultures and nations unite in a common worship, testifying that our religion is built on peace, respect and universal human values.
This holiday invites us to reflect more about each other. To be closer to our families, closer to the elderly, people in need, orphans and every heart that needs support and hope. Qurbani is not just a religious ritual; it is an act of solidarity, sharing and caring for others.
At a time when the world is facing numerous challenges, conflicts, insecurity and social difficulties, the message of Eid al-Adha takes on even greater importance. We need understanding, dialogue, respect and unity between people more than ever. Our society needs more love, more justice and more hope.
Albania is a country that has proudly preserved interfaith harmony and mutual respect between faiths. This is a precious value that we must preserve and strengthen every day. Such holidays remind us that faith should always be a source of peace, citizenship, and service to the common good.
On this holy day, we pray to God to accept the worship, prayers, and sacrifices of believers, to bring peace to our hearts, prosperity to our families, and mercy to all humanity.
I hope this holiday brings joy to every Albanian home, health to your families, and goodness to our entire society."
