The three foods that have negative effects on mental health

The mental health of people is not only affected by daily habits, but also by the food we consume. Some foods contain additives that affect mood changes, so you should be careful with their use. See below which foods are involved:

Processed meat products

Products such as salami, ham can contain large amounts of nitrates, preservatives, colors and additives that "suck" our energy and change our mood. These ingredients can cause frequent mood swings, as well as water retention, bloating and headaches.

Carbonated drinks

Doctor Jordan Wagner says sodas are full of simple sugars, which work by absorbing them quickly into the bloodstream. This causes a sudden increase in energy, but also a sudden decrease. It affects our ability to regulate our blood sugar levels, energy levels and mood.

Processed seeds and nuts

When raw or roasted at home, seeds and nuts are extremely healthy foods. However, the ones we most commonly consume are processed and factory-packaged, meaning they are often treated with a preservative called potassium bromate, which is often added to many breads. This preservative has a negative effect on health through fatigue and weakness, mood disorders and problems with concentration and memory.
