Serious in Zubin Potok, a grenade explodes. A 56-year-old man loses his life

One person has died after a hand grenade exploded in the village of Popovicë, Zubin Potok municipality.

The news was confirmed by the head of regional operations for North Mitrovica, Petrit Fejza.

The victim has been identified with the initials MP, born in 1969.

"On 26.11.2025 at around 16:45 we were notified that in the village of Popovicë in Z.Potoku there is a dead person, until the death after the examination of the scene by the relevant police units came as a result of the explosion of a hand grenade," he said.

After examination of the scene by the relevant State Police structures, it was determined that the death was caused by the explosion of a hand grenade.

The case is being investigated within the framework of criminal proceedings for "Causing death", while, by order of the Prosecutor's Office, the victim's body has been sent for autopsy.
