A serious tragic accident occurred today at around 14:05 in the village of Trebovic-Pejë. As a result of the accident, Eldion Kelmendi, brother of rapper Gjesti, lost his life. The family has announced that the funeral of the deceased will be on 27.09.2025, at the cemetery of the village of Pavlan at 17:00.

The Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Peja region, Fadil Gashi, has indicated that the cause of today's tragic accident in Peja was the loss of control by the motorcycle driver after exceeding the speed limit on a curve. The death of one of the injured, who is Gjesti's brother, was confirmed at the scene, while the second person who was in the motorcycle with him is receiving treatment at the Emergency Department of the Peja Regional Hospital. According to doctors, his condition is serious. It has been reported that a person has been detained for the accident, but according to the police, this is not true at this time, as the identification of the causes of the accident must be waited for.

The serious accident occurred in the village of Qungur in the municipality of Peja this afternoon, resulting in the death of Eldion Kelmendi, the brother of the well-known rapper from Peja, Gjesti, and another person being injured.

It is learned that the young man died at the scene. The accident occurred at around 14:00, when a car collided with a motorcycle. It has also been reported that another resident of the village with the initials KB was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at the Peja hospital. Residents of the area from whom they learned the details have expressed their condolences and have requested that the circumstances of the accident be clarified as soon as possible.

The investigations are ongoing. We also still have not received a response from rapper Gjesti, who was the winner of the last edition of Big Brother VIP Albania, where he also revealed the special bond he had with his brother.
