Historic step for Kosovo: Green light given for the next phase of the Mediterranean Games

Pristina has received today an important confirmation on its journey towards organizing the 2030 Mediterranean Games.

At the ICMG Extraordinary Assembly, the presentation of the proposal and the continuation of preparations were approved, marking a major step for the capital and all of Kosovo.

The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, stated that the city is moving confidently towards 2030 with a clear vision, a concrete plan, and the energy of a generation that believes it can make history.

Through a reaction on Facebook, he emphasized that the Mediterranean Games are not just sports, but a major development project that brings modern urbanization, new infrastructure, opportunities for young people, and a wide window to present Pristina to the world.

Rama thanked the Kosovo Olympic Committee, the Capital City Administration and the Government of Kosovo for their commitment, as well as the Government of Albania and the Albanian Olympic Committee for the cooperation that provides Pristina with access to the sea, strengthening the Mediterranean dimension of the project.

He concluded that the great work has just begun and that only together can the results that the Capital and the country need be achieved./KosovaPress
