Kurti meets with US senators, reiterates Kosovo's three demands in relation to Serbia!

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during a meeting with four US senators, reiterated the three demands he has in relation to Serbia.
On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, he met with Democratic senators Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Murphy and Ruben Gallego, and Republican Thom Tillis.
Kurti said that regarding the relationship with Serbia, the handover of Milan Radoićić to face justice in Kosovo "for the organization and execution of the attack in Banjska on September 24, 2023", the signing of the Basic Agreement and the withdrawal of the letter of former Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, "which states that the territorial integrity of Kosovo will not be respected" are important.
According to a statement from his office, Kurti said he also spoke with the American senators about his country's commitment to membership in NATO and the European Union, while expressing gratitude for the US "as our main ally."
Kurti had presented three requests for the continuation of the dialogue for the normalization of relations as early as the end of June 2024.
Kosovo is demanding that Radoićić, former vice-president of the Serbian List party - which has the support of Belgrade - be extradited to Kosovo, against whom an indictment has been filed for the attack in Banjska, REL informs.
In September 2023, a group of armed Serbs attacked the Kosovo Police, killing a sergeant. Radoićić, who is believed to be in Serbia, has admitted to organizing and leading the attack.
The second condition relates to a letter that Brnabic sent to the EU in December 2023. Through this letter, Serbia expressed reservations about the Agreement on the Path to Normalization of Relations with Kosovo and its Implementation Annex, which the EU sees as historic agreements in the dispute resolution process.
In September 2024, the then European envoy, Miroslav Lajcak, said that the letter had been withdrawn, but Kosovo denied this.
And the third request is precisely related to the Agreement on the Path to Normalization, which the parties agreed on in 2023, but was not signed, after Serbia refused,
This 11-article agreement, among other things, provides for a level of self-management for the Serbian community in Kosovo, mutual recognition of state symbols, so that Serbia does not block Kosovo's membership in international organizations, and requires Pristina and Belgrade to also implement all previous agreements reached during the dialogue that began in 2011.
During his stay in Munich, Kurti held several other meetings, including one today with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic.
In Munich, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also met with US senators with whom he discussed the situation in the Western Balkans and the deepening of Serbia-US cooperation.
Hundreds of European and world leaders are attending this annual conference in Munich, while a large American delegation, including numerous senators, is being led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
