The statue of Commander Tahir Sinan is inaugurated in Prizren

The statue of the national hero, Commander Tahir Sinani, was inaugurated in Prizren, in a solemn ceremony attended by the acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, who described this act as an immortalization of the joint national effort.

"The immortalization of our heroes in statues is not only a tribute to their individual work, but also an immortalization of our joint national effort and the liberation war that gave meaning to the freedom we enjoy today," wrote the Macedonian on the social network 'Facebook'.

According to him, the Prizren of the Albanian League and Commander Tahir Sinani are separated by the unifying dimension of Albanian geography.

"Here, our history is built on foundations of pride, sacrifice and national vision. The life and work of Commander Tahir Sinani remain an example of courage, dedication and patriotism, a guide that should be followed by every generation."

Political leaders in Kosovo have congratulated Albania on the 113th anniversary of its declaration of independence.

Various public figures and citizens paid tribute on Friday at the Jashari Family Memorial Complex. Streets and squares across Kosovo were also decorated with red and black flags.
