Liridona Ademaj's murder, Naim Murseli sent for psychiatric examination

Naim Murseli, who is being investigated for the murder of his wife, Liridona Ademaj, was sent today for a psychiatric examination to the Neurology Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK).

According to media reports in Kosovo, Murseli was moved with his feet and hands shackled, and after undergoing a psychiatric examination with CT treatment, he was left from the clinic.

In the June 4 session, prosecutor Javorka Perlinčević stated at the Basic Court of Pristina that Naim Murseli ordered the murder after Liridona received 260 thousand euros from life insurance in Sweden.

As material evidence, the Prosecution has also proposed the report they received at their request from the Swedish authorities, which confirmed that a life insurance policy worth 3 million Swedish kronor was paid in 2022 on behalf of the deceased - converted to 260 thousand euros.

The defendant's lawyer, Teuta Zhinopotoku, stated at that hearing that the defense requested that defendant Naim Murseli be sent for a psychiatric examination, and her request was granted.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina on January 15, 2025 filed an indictment against Naim Murseli, Granit Plavë, Kushtrim Kokalla and Tom Dodajt.

The Prosecution's indictment states that Murseli, Plava and Kokalla had previously agreed that the murder would be committed by the accused Plava with an agreement that Murseli would pay him 30 thousand euros.

The entire plan for Liridona's murder was reportedly made by her husband, now the accused Naim Murseli, as a result of the breakdown of family and marital relations, which gave rise to his desire for revenge.
