"Little Albania" on the official map of New York,

"Little Albania" has been included in the official map of immigrant enclaves in New York, ranking among areas that represent different ethnic communities and their cultural history in the city.

The Albanian neighborhood is located in the Bronx, where one of the largest Albanian communities in New York has lived for decades. It is included in a map published by the City Hall, which identifies 30 areas in the five boroughs of the American metropolis.

The map's publication has also sparked controversy, as it omits "Little Italy," one of the most popular neighborhoods for the Italian-American community. Representatives of this community have reacted by calling it an oversight of the historical importance of Italian immigrants in New York.

Despite the debate, “Little Albania” remains on the official map, alongside other well-known areas such as Koreatown, Chinatown, Little Ukraine, Little Guyana, Little Pakistan and Little Yemen. The City of New York has explained that the goal of this initiative is to document neighborhoods formed over the years by immigrant communities.
