Berisha was not allowed to read his speech at the EC Assembly, here he sells it

On Sunday, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, left for Strasbourg, where the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is held. Yesterday morning (Monday, September 28, 2026), the press office of the Democratic Party announced that Berisha would hold meetings and give a speech in Strasbourg at 3:30 p.m. That day. But no announcement about Berisha's activity was made on Monday. 

Just 24 hours later, the DP press office announced that the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, had given a speech on Kosovo at the EP Assembly yesterday, accompanied by a text. There is no video or any photograph showing Berisha speaking at the EP Assembly podium.

" Berisha in Strasbourg at the Kosovo hearing: The war leaders were sentenced to 84 years, the Appeal should examine them objectively! Belgrade seeks votes with the ghost of Mladic.

"Yesterday's programmatic speech by the leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, also transcribed on the official website ," reads the official announcement accompanied by the leaked speech.

The same text was also shared by Mr. Berisha himself on his Facebook page this Tuesday afternoon. Since the leader of the DP and his press office emphasize that yesterday's programmatic speech of the leader of the DP at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is also available on the official website of the Council of Europe, Alfapress.al , a verification was made. It turns out that the text of the speech published by the DP and Berisha was indeed published there, but accompanied by the note, "Undelivered speech" (Open the link below)

This note is translated into Albanian and means that the speech published only as text was not physically read by Berisha in the EC Assembly hall, but was only submitted to the relevant secretariat. On the relevant link where the written speech appears, you can also click on the "Video" section, below Berisha's photo. There is indeed a video from the hall, but the leader of the DP does not appear anywhere there, neither "giving" a speech nor in the hall.

It seems and is clear that the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, was allowed to submit the text of his speech to the relevant secretariat of the EC Assembly, but was not allowed to physically hold it in the hall. 

It is true that Mr. Berisha seeks to keep his followers charged and hopeful by selling them the mirage that he no longer has any problems with internationals, but the deception to this point does not honor him, neither for his political position nor for his age!

Madam Speaker,

The repeated elections in Kosovo, in terms of respecting international principles for parliamentary elections, regardless of their motive, were conducted in accordance with these principles.

However, I agree with previous speakers that their frequency, due to the election of the President, should be avoided. For this, the assistance of the Council of Europe and the Venice Commission is needed to find a more workable way to elect the President of the Republic.

Madam Speaker,

In recent days, following the unexpected convictions of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) by the Kosovo court in The Hague, tens of thousands of citizens have been protesting daily in Pristina. No one is standing up against the punishment of crimes, but some comparisons and the lack of clear evidence of concrete crimes have caused public anger.

For example, the UN Tribunal in The Hague sentenced the commander of the Pristina Corps, Mr. Vladimir LAZAREVIC, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army, Mr. Dragoljub OJDANIC, to 15 years in prison each for crimes against humanity and war crimes during Operation “Horseback” in Pristina.

In contrast, Kosovo's political leaders were sentenced to a total of 84 years in prison, based on a chain of command that they never had in a structured way.

Recently, the sentences handed down by the Kosovo court in The Hague have followed, surprisingly, clear ethnic lines. Contrary to its statute, the court has prosecuted only the victim party and not the aggressor. Therefore, let us hope that the Court of Appeals will examine their cases more objectively.

The state funeral of the butcher of Bosnia, the orchestrator of the largest genocide in Europe since World War II in Srebrenica, was a second execution, 31 years later, of 8,500 boys and men, solely because of their religious and ethnic affiliation.

This is a grave insult to all humanity, a stance of Belgrade and Mr. Aleksandar VUČIČ, who seeks to win the elections with the ghost of Mr. Ratko MLADIČ.
