Apple warns again: Don't sleep with your iPhone while charging!

Apple has updated its safety guidelines for iPhone users, advising that charging devices be placed only on hard, well-ventilated surfaces. The reason? Lithium-ion batteries naturally heat up when charging, and if that heat is trapped, it can cause serious damage like device burns, fires, or damage to textiles like sheets.

Fire authorities and consumer protection organizations have documented cases of melted cables and burned sheets from charging near the bed. Apple reminds us that the phone is a precision technological device, not a soft toy, so care should be taken when charging and placing it in sleeping areas.

Always keep your phone in a safe and ventilated place while charging!
