Pete Hegseth: Nuclear testing is essential for American security!

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared today that it is "responsible" for the US to "resume testing" of nuclear weapons.

US President Donald Trump has come under fire for his nuclear tests this week, but Hegseth said the move is a necessary step to bolster defenses.

" The president was clear: we need to have a credible nuclear defense. Resumption of testing is a very responsible, very responsible way to do that, " Hegseth said in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Dong Jun, without removing the doubts that remain about the importance of this announcement.

Yesterday, Donald Trump announced that he wants to conduct US nuclear weapons tests.

"Due to the testing programs of other countries, I have ordered the Department of Defense to begin testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal footing with Russia and China, " the US president wrote on the Truth Social platform.
