"100 million euros in subsidies per year for farmers", Basha meets in Divjaka and Sauk: Average pension 450 euros. Monthly compensation for medicines and energy for every pensioner with income below 300 euros

The political leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, held meetings today with farmers in Divjaka and with citizens and small businesses in Branch 2 in Tirana.
At the meeting with farmers, he learned about the problems they face, starting from the lack of subsidies, the lack of infrastructure and markets, which force them to throw their production on the streets.
As a solution to the situation that 12 years of government have led to, Basha spoke about the Euro-Atlantic Coalition program, which foresees 100 million euros in subsidies per year and 50 million euros for infrastructure, which according to him will help 150 thousand farming families. He said that without the development of the Albanian farmer, neither the economy nor welfare will develop.
" The only thing they need is a government that gives them a hand, not a kick. For 12 years, the farmer of Divjaka, of all of Albania, has not received anything. Look at the farmer of Kosovo, look at the farmer of North Macedonia. And if only the government would give a little hand to the Albanian farmer, the welfare for the Albanian farmer, for their families will translate into welfare for consumers in the city, it will translate into economic growth for all of Albania. So with our plan of 100 million euros in subsidies per year, 50 million euros for infrastructure so that they don't end up with gas cylinders, but have electricity lines, have fuel, pesticides, seeds, seedlings, subsidized chemical fertilizers and access to the market, 150 thousand farming families will come out of poverty. Without raising the bar, without raising the Albanian farmer, the economy will not rise, nor will welfare. So this blessing of God with a government that will "If you give us your hand, we will turn it into a blessing for all Albanians," Basha said.
The leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition continued his meetings in the Sauk area of Tirana with citizens and small businesses. While talking to the elderly, their concern was clear, that their pension does not even cover the most minimal needs, such as buying medicine.
"100 thousand lek pension, can you take medicine, can you drink some coffee, can you get electricity and water?" said an elderly woman.
Basha presented the points of the program for pensioners, saying that based on the opportunities offered by the Albanian economy, the minimum pension will be 250 euros, the average 250 euros within the first two years of government. According to him, all pensioners with incomes below 300 euros will benefit from a fixed monthly compensation for medicines and electricity, while the new reform of the pension system will guarantee a sustainable long-term plan for future generations.
" The main problem with pensions is, as you said, that the money you get for medicines is for electricity. Therefore, the first thing to do is to close this loophole. That is, what about pensions below 300 thousand old lek, medicines and electricity with a fixed payment from the state.
We know that our pensioners have worked their entire lives for this country and deserve dignified treatment. Therefore, our commitment is to bring about a real and sustainable increase in pensions, based on the country's economic opportunities and a fair distribution of public funds.
The minimum pension will be 250 euros within the first two years of our government. This will be done with a progressive indexation that guarantees the purchasing power of pensioners.
The average pension will reach 450 euros within the first term, increasing support for pensioners according to their contributions and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Monthly allowances for medicines and energy – all pensioners with incomes below 300 euros will benefit from a fixed monthly allowance to cover basic healthcare and electricity costs.
A new reform of the pension system that guarantees greater support for those with lower pensions and a sustainable long-term plan for future generations.
"This is not just a promise, but a feasible plan, based on international experience and Albania's real possibilities. Pensioners deserve more, and we will make it a reality," Basha said.
