Endri Shabani, the leader of the "Nisma Thurje" party, was asked on Euronews Albania regarding a statement by Adriatik Lapaj whether there is a possibility of a merger of two parties that have been in a joint alliance, "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet" and "Nisma Thurje".
On what will happen next, Shabani underlined that he would like to continue cooperation on the elections, with the aim of creating a broader coalition.
" This is taken out of context, it doesn't make sense to me. Only if the Adriatic will return to the "Nisma Thurje". There is no merger, we are two parties, we have created a coalition, we have cooperated for the elections and we want to continue the cooperation for the next local elections, whenever they are, which is not enough. Other actors, intellectuals, journalists, teachers and other new forces that have reflected, must be added, so we can create a broader coalition.
"Nisma Thurje" was a civil society association. In 2021 we founded a party and we will continue the battle. The merger has not been discussed as a thing. I would like us to continue the cooperation ," explained Endri Shabani.
