The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has made a strong accusation against the leader of "Albania Becomes", Adritatik Lapaj.
He has published a document showing that Lapaj received 45 million lek from a company seized by the Special Prosecution Office. The company is called "Merkaj 3 shpk", which was seized by SPAK after it was used to launder money for the "Çopjave" group.
Shehaj says that the reason he got them is more serious than the fact that he got them, while adding that Adriatik Lapaj is supported by the darkest and most gloomy part of this rotten system.
This is not the first public accusation that Shehaj has made against Adriatik Lapaj, as he has previously cast doubt on the financing of Lapaj's party. The latter has stated that it receives funding from citizen donations, so the document published by Shehaj is expected to provoke strong reactions.
This is a strong blow to Adriatik Lapaj with about 3 months left until the May 11 elections, as party financing is one of the main pillars that SPAK and the OSCE will follow and investigate.
