Accused of corruption in elections, the mayor of Vau i Dejës goes to SPAK

The mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristjan Shkreli, appeared today at SPAK, where he was charged with electoral corruption. Shkreli received a summons from SPAK and appeared today at the Special Prosecution Office, accompanied by his lawyer.

The Special Prosecution had previously obtained authorization from the Court for the personal search of the mayor, a decision that was implemented by the National Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the State Police.

For the same issue, the mobile phones of several other people were also seized, who are considered PSD supporters and whom SPAK suspects are involved in the criminal activity of vote buying in the Shkodra region.
