"Anti-Berishism is not an identity"/ Basha: It's a harmful obsession, it's time to go to the citizens to reveal the alternative

The chairman of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, says that being anti-Beris is not an identity. In the next podcast, he said that the group he leads exists because it has a set of values, convictions, beliefs, which binds them in a political culture that goes beyond the interests of the political group.

According to Basha, the grouping he leads has a clear vision for Albanians and above all has a clear transformative platform for Albania, which was unveiled on June 1.

People who define their lives in relation to Sali Berisha are unwittingly parochialists. Meanwhile, the other one has been declared "non grata" by the USA and Great Britain, he is currently under house arrest and under investigation for corruption, he was expelled by my decision, and you have Sali Berisha's obsession from morning until dinner, when in fact we should go to citizens with a political offer. If our identity is anti-Berishism, then I'm sorry but they must prepare for a symmetrical end. What does this mean, that at the moment when there is no more Berishism, there is no more Euro-Atlantic Democratic Party?

We do not exist as a function of Sali Berisha, we do not exist for the sake of Sali Berisha. We exist because we have a set of values, convictions, beliefs that bind us in a political culture that goes beyond the interests of our political grouping. They bind us for the sake of Albania and Albanians. We have a clear vision, we are the only ones who articulate this vision in unconditional support for justice, for SPAK, to attack corruption and end impunity.

For an electoral reform that returns the vote to the Albanians, the vote that has been locked in the lockers of the mayors since 2008. And above all for a clear transformative platform for Albania, which we made public on June 1, and this is what people expect to hear. It is stupid to think that people stay from morning until dinner thinking about Sali Berisha. This is a harmful psychosis for these individuals themselves.
With Berisha, we have divided the work once and for all and now it is time to go to the citizens, for the problems of the citizens, because we have a program.
