The arrest of Berisha by SPAK, Jorida Tabaku declares the vote in favor!

The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, spoke for the first time in Euronews Albania about the SPAK's request to the Assembly for the appointment of the measure of arrest against the former Prime Minister Berisha.

Asked if he would vote for SPAK's request in the Assembly, Tabaku responded by saying that DP does not have a battle with SPAK and should vote for every decision that this institution brings to parliament.

However, Tabaku stressed that it is not good news for Albanians or for the Democratic Party that today we have a former prime minister and former president facing justice.

Tabaku reiterated that the battle of the democrats is not with the justice institutions but with the political opponent, so the focus should be there.

"It is not a good thing for DP or for Albania that we have a former prime minister and former president who is now in front of SPAK. It is not good news for the Democratic Party either.

The Democratic Party does not have the battle with SPAK and should not have the battle with SPAK. DP has insisted a lot that SPAK be what it is today. Every decision that SPAK brings to the parliament, I do not think that there will ever be a vote against the Democratic Party. Today, if we discuss a SPAK that everyone wants to take credit for, from the internationals to the prime minister, today this institution has been set up in such a way, it is because out of the 7 justice reform laws, only the SPAK law was approved by consensus. The Democratic Party had comments that they took into account that the American embassy intervened. SPAK has been an institution with a law that was approved by consensus. I am the person who went to SPAK more than anyone else and not for the reasons that officials go to today.

PD does not have a battle with SPAK, but it has with the opponent and we must focus there", said Tabaku.
