Basha in Unit 10, Tirana: Flat tax 9%, 0 taxes for small businesses with turnover up to 14 million new lekë. Money in the pockets of Albanians, not those in power!

The political leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, accompanied by the candidates for MPs of Unit 10, Neli Demi, Eduard Kelmendi and Irsida Shehi, held a meeting with citizens of this area of Tirana, where he emphasized that on May 11, Albanians have the power to decide for a fairer, more honest and more livable Albania.
In a conversation with residents, Basha focused on the deep wounds left behind by 12 years of governance based on corruption, clientelism, and injustice. He said that Albania is tired of a model of power that has only produced poverty and a massive exodus of young people.
"This country does not deserve the highest corruption since the founding of the Albanian state. It no longer deserves an economy that functions for a handful of people connected to power, while ordinary families face rising prices, insufficient salaries and a lack of economic opportunities every day," he said.
At the center of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's program is the Albanian family. Basha emphasized that it is time for tax money to no longer go to concessions and corruption, but to the well-being of families who keep Albania alive. He spoke of a new approach, where the family is supported from the birth of a child to the opportunity to build a safe and stable life in their own country.
"We will make it possible for every parent to have the help they deserve, every young couple to have the opportunity to buy a house with state support, and every child to be born in a place that offers them hope, not just sacrifice," said Basha.
The discussion with the citizens also focused on the issue of property, an old wound that, according to Basha, is not only an injustice to thousands of families, but also a major obstacle to the country's economic development. He emphasized that Albania is the only country in Europe where the property problem has not yet been resolved.
"Property is sacred. It is not just an asset, it is a right that belongs to every citizen. The government has failed to provide a solution, and worse still, has used this problem to distribute favors and create chaos. We are committed to solving this once and for all. Within the first two years of our government, we will establish a new compensation scheme with state bonds with full market value, tradable, that will give owners what they rightfully deserve, without hassle, without fraud and without inequality," he said.
Regarding economic development, Basha said that there can be no strong economy without justice, without competition and without support for the working class and entrepreneurship. He harshly criticized the business climate, where according to him, over 70% of businesses report requests for bribes and where every honest initiative is hindered by a corrupt and politically captured administration.
"We will reduce the fiscal burden for all those who work honestly. A flat 9% tax will be applied to personal income and businesses, while small businesses will be completely exempt from taxes up to a turnover of 14 million new lek. There will be no more selective fines and abusive controls, but there will be a state that helps and not hinders. And to put an end to privileges for clients of power, we will finally eliminate the so-called 'strategic investors', who have benefited from public property and money without any merit, just because they are close to the government," he declared.
At the end of the meeting, Basha said that he and the Euro-Atlantic Coalition team will be present every day, in every neighborhood, street and alley of Tirana, to listen to citizens and offer real solutions.
"On May 11, the choice is clear: Either the Albania that deserves more, or 12 years of corruption that have held the country hostage. Believe in Albania. Vote for real change. Vote for number 4 – the Euro-Atlantic Coalition," Basha concluded.
