"The battle continues in the College and SPAK", Xhemal Gjunkshi demands the opening of all the boxes in Dibër

The opening of 42 ballot boxes by the Complaints and Sanctions Commission out of 222 in the Dibër District added 66 preferential votes for Xhemal Gjunkshi, who, although not receiving the mandate, seeks to be first on the open list of the Democratic Party.
The candidate of the Alliance for a Greater Albania coalition, in an interview with A2CNN, indicates that his battle will continue in the Electoral College, where he will demand a recount of the remaining ballots that were not accepted by the KAS.
"I did not agree at all with the decision made by the KAS, nor did the representative of the DP, for this reason we will turn to the Electoral College," said Gjunkshi.
The partial recount showed that many of his votes had gone to other colleagues on the DP list. Gjunkshi promises that the data he has collected from the process will also be deposited with SPAK: "Of course, this is a second step that will be carried out, but SPAK has all the necessary authority to intervene, because the event has happened. He has seen that the table of results on May 11th was the same as the other results. Then there is an alienation of the vote."
The Democratic Party candidate admits that the alienation of the will of the citizens occurred at the moment when the preferential votes for the candidates were read: "I asked that all the boxes be opened, that the diaspora votes be opened. Let's see what happened and in the end everyone should accept the result that it is."
And while other Democratic Party candidates are fighting to enter the Assembly, to take away the seat secured by their colleagues from May 11, Gjunkshi says that his fight for the opening of the ballot boxes is more principled, as he only seeks to be ranked first on the open list of the DP, although it is not enough to become an MP.
"This is a battle for dignity, for morality," he says.
