"They talk about railways, but there are no trains", Berisha: Urban

During a meeting with representatives of the Infrastructure Department in the Democratic Party, Berisha said that in Albania, there has been talk of the Tirana-Durrës railway for over 10 years, but there is no train, there is only a trolley, despite the fact that 700-800 workers are paid.

According to him, Albanians pay fabulous amounts for infrastructure from their taxes, their salaries, and their pensions, and I remind citizens here that with a third of this amount, 11,300 kilometers of roads have been built.

"But where the road was built with 700 thousand euros, it went up to 5 million euros and to collapse, in 12 years of governance, the leftists have spent over 12 billion euros, but what is seen from the Urban Renaissance are only the stone piles in Skanderbeg Square," said Berisha.

According to Berisha, from the 130 million euro incinerator that does not exist, to the Qukës-Qafë Pllocë road that collapses every week and every day, which has cost around 370 million euros, to the Arbrit Road, in which 27 kilometers left to be built, the 11-meter-wide kilometer cost as much as the kilometer and more, to every road, to the schools built that have no students, these are the works of the Renaissance.

"Water supply systems that have been invested hundreds of millions without adding a liter of water to the residents, the irrigation system that absolutely did not build 10 kilometers of canals, but filled in the ones that were, in the white water canals, etc., etc., so if you take this period, it was a period of atrocity, of massive destruction of infrastructure and public works," said Berisha.

Sali Berisha: The developments of these 3 months, the decisions he made with Partizan Sadushi, dealing a death blow to criminal prosecution, criminal liability, the institution of the accusation, remove Edi Rama from all legitimacy.

He has become the main character of the black flag of corruption in Europe, and my greatest conviction is that the opposition and Albanians will quickly give him the place he deserves.

But these developments require that the DP and the opposition prepare in the most serious way for the major problems created by a 12-year regime.

We started this debate and the preparation of our program with infrastructure.

Why did we start with infrastructure?

The most unimaginable thefts have occurred in the infrastructure and public works of this country.

Over 12 billion euros have been invested in infrastructure and public works in 12 years.

If you look at what remains, besides the stone slabs in Skanderbeg Square, which Urban Renaissance makes it possible to roast coffee in the July heat and in some other square, the infrastructure and Urban Renaissance are the most flagrant evidence of waste, absolute theft that has never happened.

I said it, from the 130 million euro incinerator that does not exist, to the road that collapses every week and every day Qukës-Qafë Pllocë that has cost around 370 million euros, to Arbrit Street, in which 27 kilometers left to be built, the 11-meter wide kilometer cost as much as the kilometer and more, to every road, to the schools built that have no students because there were no students there and that was known, but had to be stolen, to the water supply systems that have been invested hundreds of millions without adding a liter of water for the residents, to the irrigation system that absolutely did not build 10 kilometers of canals, but the ones that were there were filled, to the white water canals, etc., etc., so if you take this period, it has been a period of atrocity, of massive destruction of infrastructure and public works.

They haven't talked about the Tirana-Durres railway for at least 10 years, but there is no train, there is a trolley, despite the fact that 700-800 workers are paid.

So, Albanians pay fabulous amounts for infrastructure from their taxes, their salaries, and their pensions, and I remind citizens here that with a third of this amount, 11,300 kilometers of roads have been built.

But where the road was built for 700 thousand euros, it went up to 5 million euros and was about to collapse.

Where schools were built for 700 thousand euros, 1 million euros, and very large, they went up to 8 and 10 million euros, leaving in some cases without students at all.
