"You want to fix a party that is dead!"/ Alimehmeti denies that the new Forum wants Berisha's "head": The doctor owns the party

Ilir Alimehmeti, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the new platform that has started with Salianji and the supporters of the DP. Alimehmeti said that this movement does not aim at the party leadership and was careful to emphasize several times that the chairman of this party is Berisha, but added that the party must be energized and voters must be represented. Alimehmeti said that he does not want the party to split and that he will not be part of this movement if the party splits.

Ylli Rakipi: Are you looking for a faction in the DP, or a change in leadership in the DP?
Ilir Alimehmeti: You know that next spring, there will be an opportunity to vote for the leading figures of the DP. Many of these figures need some kind of refresh, to represent the electorate. Over half a million people have voted. The DP must be strengthened, through figures, opening, re-establishment. These were the promises that were made, they were promises that have stood. If we return to these tracks… I entered the DP in April 2022, they were difficult days for Berisha. I know very well where I stand. If it is seen as a division, I do not support the division but only the unification. There is a need for a change of some figures.
