As thousands of Albanians have been protesting for about three weeks in Tirana and other cities against the Rama government, the prime minister this Monday traveled to France where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee.
It was Rama himself who published footage from the meeting with Macron at the presidential palace in Paris, where the two leaders are seen hugging and holding hands neck to neck.
Rama's visit to Paris was announced the day before, as rumors arose that the prime minister had gone to France to silence the voice of the mass protests in Albania in the eyes of world chancelleries with claims of algorithm or Iranian interference and interference from neighbors over the protest.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Media and Information Agency reports that Rama's visit is related to the high-level dialogue between the two countries, adding that the meeting with Macron also comes before the NATO summit in Ankara in July.
