Analyst Fitim Zekthi says that even if Sali Berisha wins the elections, his relations with European officials will be tense.
On the "Real Story" show on ABC News, Zekthi said that this will also depend on the stance that Berisha will take towards SPAK, after he has declared that he will dissolve it as an institution.
"Prime Minister Berisha's relations will be more tense, but he will adapt immediately. He does not have good relations with the European right. This is the most internationally isolated opposition, after that of 1996. Macron, Sanchez, and Mitsotakis, therefore, will have tense relations."
"But it will also depend on the relationship with SPAK. It will depend on the stance that the Berisha government will take on the decision to dissolve SPAK. I believe that there would be a serious problem in Albania's relations with the EU. Berisha would be oriented towards relations with President Trump, if he wins ," he stressed.
