Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech at the celebration organized for the 34th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party.

Rama : Happy 34th birthday of the SP! To those of you who are here and to all those who are not here present but are an inseparable part of this great political family. This is a birthday that becomes special as a result of the fact that it comes after a victory, that is, of the SP. A victory that comes with a greater responsibility than ever before, for the very fact that it was embodied as a result of a greater support than ever before for the SP.

Without a doubt, we have never been afraid or avoided the responsibilities that come with victories. This is the main reason why we never tire of winning, because we never tire of burdening ourselves with responsibilities and reflecting on what we can do better. Many things need to be done better, given that this victory is associated with an extraordinary mandate of trust to lead the country and to join Albania in the EU within this decade. There is no stronger and, therefore, greater reason for responsibility with this objective. How achievable and extremely difficult to achieve.

Close and connected to how quickly we will be able to improve what needs to be improved. We have no reason not to be confident. We have a new team with not a few, but 83 deputies. More than the number, it is the composition of the team, the harmonization of experience with new arrivals. The best distribution than ever of the weight of representation in each territory. They give this new team to bear the weight in these years where the parliament must become the main pillar of EU membership.
