The head of LZHK, Dashmir Shehi, believes that the protest for the protection of Zvërnec has political substance and if citizens respond, it could open a new path with new people and faces.
Invited to Andrea Danglli's "Off the Record" show on A2CNN, Shehi emphasizes the need for Albania to challenge the SP-PD dualism. According to him, we are dealing with a misgovernment that has been in power for a long time and an opposition that is not responding to its duties.
" The protest has a political yeast inside. They are not asking us to fix Zvërnec. They are saying that Edi Rama should go, and this is the political substance of the protest. If there is a pursuit, and it grows, they will find the political bosses, it doesn't matter who they are. The job is to keep this political history alive. This is kept alive if the city responds. Citizens understand that this is a moment. I invite them to do this work. To open a new path, a new political trajectory, with new people and new faces. This could be the new thing for Albanian politics, to challenge this kind of dualism that we have, that they even agree with each other, on almost everything. There is a misgovernment that is continuing and an opposition that is unable to respond to the task that has fallen upon it ," said Shehi.
