The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, declared today that Albania should go to early elections.
According to Shehaj, the majority's decision to block the arrest of Belinda Balluku, while the judiciary is investigating corruption and seeking arrests at the highest levels, has stripped the Rama government of any legitimacy and makes it necessary to go to early elections, so that Albanian citizens can decide by vote between justice and a corrupt government.
" It is clear that after the majority's decision to stop the arrest of Belinda Balluku, we must go to early elections. It no longer makes sense that while justice is investigating and seeking the arrest of the corrupt, the majority takes them under its protection. This majority no longer has legitimacy! There is no longer a reason to stay in power! Albanian citizens must be able to choose between justice and this corrupt government. To decide whether we are dealing with a coup d'état by the justice system, as Edi Rama says, or whether we are dealing with real justice. And only Albanian citizens can decide this. Early elections are needed! We must get ready for early elections! This is a historic moment for Albania! Finally, there is justice in Albania. The corrupt are being brought to justice. And we must show them the way with our vote! " - declared the chairman of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj.
