Rama: Endrit Shabani, People's Advocate, those who regretted it, think

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the incidents that occurred in the Parliament during the last plenary session where Endrit Shabani was sworn in as the People's Advocate.

Rama said that the opposition showed once again that it is in favor of violence, while underlining that Shabani was a candidate proposed by them.

"The opposition rekindled the torches of blind walking and started the avaz. They supported Endrit Shabani and brought him into their bouquet of candidates. As soon as they saw that we, who said at the beginning that we would expect to support one of the candidacies that the opposition would bring, would support Mr. Shabani, they jumped up as if we were supporting one of our candidates. They jumped up. But no one in this country has imposed anything. Endrit Shabani has said many things against us, but we elected him respecting the principle. Those who regretted it will regret it next time," he said.

"Another development that occurred this week was the swearing-in of Mr. Endri Shabani as the new People's Advocate in the Albanian Parliament. The opposition returned to its habit of going out with the soul, put the muscles of its arms and legs to work again, rekindled the torches of walking blindly through the forest and resumed the sound of threats on behalf of an almost 100-year-old scarecrow. So they supported Endri Shabani, gave him the signatures required by law, brought him into their bouquet of candidates, where for the sake of truth, this gentleman was the only one with one eye among some blind fools and as soon as they saw that we, - who said at the beginning, we would not support any candidacy, but would wait to support one of the candidacies that the opposition will bring us - would support Mr. Shabani, they jumped up as if we were making one of our candidates the people's advocate.

Ridiculous to the end, that is, but besides being ridiculous, they are also tired to the end of their minds, which does not and will not teach them the lesson that, with disdain and stupidity, no one in this country can impose anything on me and this popular majority called the Socialist Party of Albania, not them.

"Ignorance and stupidity are a language that we do not understand. Endri Shabani has said as many things against us and against me personally as you want, but we chose him as the opposition candidate, respecting the principle followed before, despite the fact that this time we had over 84 votes needed and if we were those who we are not, but who they say we are, we could have chosen whoever we wanted, but we did not. As for those who regretted it, think again next time," he said.
