Last night was not just the opening night of the Big Brother VIP Albania show, but it turned into a painful reminder of a place that remained empty. During the first Prime, the audience was treated to a touching tribute to the famous singer Shpat Kasapi, who tragically passed away on November 26, just a few weeks before becoming a resident of the most famous house in the country.
What was supposed to be the start of a new television adventure for Shpatin turned into an open wound for his wife, Selvije Jao. Through a chilling reaction, Selvia shared with the public for the first time the last conversation they had about his entry into Big Brother, a conversation that today sounds like a bitter warning.
She confesses that Shpati's main concern was not the game or fame, but family.
"When Shpati was thinking about entering Big Brother, he asked me: 'Will you be able to cope with my absence and take care of Roel alone while I'm on Big?'" she writes.
At that moment, her response was full of support and optimism:
"Definitely... I'll have you in front of me 24/7."
But Selvia admits that at the time she thought of the absence as something simple, physical, inside the screen, without knowing that November 26 would turn this conversation into the most painful memory of her life.
The tribute held on Top Channel reopened the wound of the fact that "all those plans, strategies and dreams" for the television game ended in an eternal absence. Selvia confesses that, despite the pain, there was still an unconscious thread of hope:
"I waited until these moments. I waited for you to enter Big, as if everything was just a long delay."
The pain becomes even greater when she thinks about their little son, Roel. Selvia says her heart breaks every day, as she looks for Shpatin everywhere and can't find him anywhere.
"Roeli grows up without your hand, and I learn every day to live with a pain that never learns to go away," she writes, closing the message with the words:
"I miss him more than words can express."
