Blerina Bala is the new leader of the municipality of Himara, after securing 15 votes in favor in the Municipal Council.

The meeting to appoint a new leader, since Fredi Beleri and Jorgo Goro are in prison, was held in the municipality this Friday.

Bala was a member of the Socialist Party and vice president for some time in the municipality of Himara.

After the meeting, she said that the main focus will be on work, in order to fulfill the objectives and goals, especially referring to the tourist season.

"First, let me say a special thank you for the trust you have given me today. In the following months, the focus of the Himar Municipality will be on work, in order to fulfill the objectives and goals, especially with reference to the tourist season. I am aware that no work is done alone, so I think that after 10 difficult months, Himara deserves that between vertical and horizontal actors, there should be as close cooperation and support as possible", said Blerina Bala after the meeting.
