Rama appoints Insidor Rexhepi as director of the General Directorate of

Prime Minister Edi Rama appoints Insidor Rexhepi as General Director of the DPAK Anticorruption Directorate.

Rexhepi previously held the position of legal advisor at the Independent Qualification Commission, KPA.

The decision was taken at today's meeting (November 20) of the Council of Ministers.

On June 26, the Council of Ministers approved the establishment of the General Directorate of Anticorruption, (DPAK), whose mission is to ensure the prevention and combating of corruption in state administration institutions/public entities/commercial companies with state capital.

DPAK will conduct administrative investigations for cases suspected of abusive or corrupt practices.

DPAK will have the function of collecting information on corrupt activities and abusive practices from various sources and to carry out administrative investigations, for suspected cases of abusive or corrupt practices. In any case, at the end of the investigation, a final report is drawn up, which is proposed to the General Director of the DPAK for approval. 

Decision of the Council of Ministers:

"APPOINTMENT OF THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF ANTI-CORRUPTION

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Point 4, Chapter III, of Decision No. 436, dated 26.6.2024, of the Council of Ministers, "On the creation, organization and operation of the General Directorate of Anticorruption", with the proposal of Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption, Council of Ministers

DECIDE:

1. Mr. Insidor Rexhepi is appointed General Director of the General Directorate of Anticorruption.

2. The Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption and the General Directorate of Anticorruption are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
