Rama increased the salaries of subordinates at the Directorate of Government Services

At a time when citizens are facing rising prices, inflation, and a lack of investment in basic services, Prime Minister Edi Rama chooses to distribute hefty bonuses to his subordinates.
The Government has today approved the new salary structure and levels for civil servants and employees of the Directorate of Government Services.
The decision includes the basic salary, seniority allowance and qualification allowance, which will be the same as those of the general state administration.
Special allowances for working conditions are also foreseen for some positions. The head of the institution will receive an additional 150 thousand lek per month, directors of some directorates 40 thousand lek, heads of sectors 35–50 thousand lek, while specialists 30 thousand lek. The allowances vary according to the profile and responsibilities of the job.
The Prime Minister continues with examples of favoring the bureaucratic elite, while the majority of employees and citizens remain with minimum wages and difficult living conditions.
